First Watch
9.5/10
First Watch is a restaurant chain with over 470 locations in 29 states, that serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch until 2:30pm. I have visited this restaurant twice and both visits have been very enjoyable. I got a very rustic vibe when I entered, and they have a long selection of healthy options, as well as the more indulgent breakfast choices (which I, of course, partook in.)
My first visit was for my birthday brunch on my 20th birthday last year that my boyfriend treated me to. I ordered the "Classic Eggs Benedict," which comes with two perfectly poached eggs atop of toasted ciabatta bread, with smoked ham and a slice of tomato, covered in hollandaise. However, because I am a picky eater and can never leave a dish the way it comes, I politely asked for my dish without ham or tomato... (so yes, basically just eggs and bread, don't judge me.) My side of choice was Seasoned Potatoes. Even though I took out a couple important ingredients, the meal was still incredibly delicious.
My second visit was last weekend, and I decided to try the "Farmhouse Hash," which is two cage-free eggs any style atop fresh, seasoned potatoes, bacon, avocado, house-roasted onions and tomatoes, cheddar and monterey-jack cheese. It is also served with a sliced of buttered whole grain bread and a tiny cup of fruit. I took off the avocado and tomatoes from my order, and was able to substitute for extra bacon. It was absolutely amazing, however, I believe that the Eggs Benedict may have topped it.
One great thing about their menu, coming from a picky eater, is they have lots of options, so it's easy to find something that catches your attention, (even if you have to substitute or remove a thing or two.) The prices are also not bad at all for the quality of food and service that you are getting, with the Eggs Benedict being $10.99, and the Farmhouse Hash being $13.50.
With that being said, if you've never been to First Watch, I highly recommend you try it out, and if you have been there, perhaps you may want to try one of the dishes I got if it catches your eye, as they were both very good.
