"With That Being Said" is a blog that consists of a wide selection of topics that I am passionate about and hope to explore and learn more about. As I continue to grow and lean into my interests, I intend to simultaneously share my journeys, opinions, and findings with you all. Follow along for more!
About Me
My name is Alex Torres, and I am currently a junior college student, studying Business Management. I love movies, TV shows, YouTube, video games, music, cooking, and making art. I have an amazing boyfriend and a beagle named Chandler, both of whom I love dearly. Here are a few more details about what I like that you should probably know...
I am a BIG Marvel fan, and also enjoy rewatching shows like Stranger Things, Outer Banks, The Office, Parks & Recreation, Friends, Modern Family, Abbott Elementary, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, etc.
Some Youtubers that I watch regularly are Danny Gonzalez, Kurtis Conner, Drew Gooden, Cody Ko, Noel Miller, Jarvis Johnson, and Chad Chad.
Some video games that I play (or hope to play soon & review) are Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty, Mario Kart 8, Fall Guys, Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, It Takes Two, and Hogwarts Legacy.
Some of my current favorite musical artists are Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and Olivia Rodrigo, as well as bands like One Direction (obviously) The Driver Era, The Wrecks, AC/DC, The Beatles, Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Steve Miller Band, and Queen. I enjoy pretty much all genres of music and am always open to listening to and reviewing new artists/songs.
I started getting into cooking more at the beginning of the pandemic, and have started cooking meals for my boyfriend and family several times per week. I use a lot of Asian influence in a lot of my meals, and am currently on a journey of beating my "picky" palette and trying new things, which I hope to document in this blog.
I have been drawn to art since I was young, though I was never any "good" by my own standards. I attended Art Camp every summer from the ages of 6-12, and I currently now work for the Art and Cultural Center in my city. I love painting, journaling, and have recently gotten into crocheting as well.
I reached a point in the pandemic where I was the most unhealthy I had ever been, so I have recently began a fitness journey (with the help of my boyfriend) that I hope to write more about.
I have a hard time balancing school with the rest of my life. I have been learning to adapt and study in a way that helps me actually learn, and I hope to share some of my study tips and planning hacks with you.
If ANY of these things happen to interest you, please consider sticking around and following along on my many journeys.
